Spanish is a phonetic language. Simply put, Spanish is spelled the way it sounds. Unlike English, which is largely phonetic but with many exceptions to the rules, learning to pronounce Spanish according to Spanish rules is a breeze.
Fonético teaches you where to put the right emphasis on each word (accents) and sentence (intonation). Fonético also introduces you only to the Spanish vowels and consonants that are pronounced different from English. With this simple technology that cuts out the excess fat usually found in teaching Spanish, Fonético reduces the time it takes to speak Spanish.
Learning Spanish with Fonético is fun and easy. Listen to music and listen to Spanish speakers pronouncing commonly-used phrases as you follow along in a workbook. Through guided practice, you will become comfortable speaking Spanish. After completing Fonético, you will be able to learn how to speak new Spanish phrases effortlessly, without an accent.

Fonético technology was discovered by Philip Duane Johncock. He studied Spanish in high school, college and one summer in Spain, but he wasn't satisfied with his book learning. Moreover, he realized that he had an English accent when speaking Spanish. Living in México from October 1981 through June 1984, Philip discovered how to communicate in Spanish by playing with children in México, listening and playing Spanish music, and by teaching English as a second language.
Several years later, when he lived in Reno, Nevada, using what he learned while living in México, he customized a Spanish program for phone operators at Nevada Bell, who wanted to communicate with Spanish-speaking customers. He designed a 30-hour Spanish program in which Nevada Bell operators learned how to pronounce Spanish and then read scripts written in Spanish to their customers. The program was so successful that Spanish-speaking customers often mistook the operators for native speakers of Spanish. This... in only 30 hours.
Excited about this new program, Philip piloted the new Spanish pronunciation program -- which he later called Fonético -- with teachers & counselors at Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center in Reno, Nevada and high school Spanish 1 students at Galena High School in Reno, Nevada. It worked!
