Howdy all! This is Megan here starting my four month cycle of the
Genius Contagion Newsletter.
Over the summer, I taught a 10-week genius series in my Life Skills
Class. I really opened up to what new energy wanted to come through
about genius. I’m excited to share some of the latest and greatest over
the next 4 newsletters. To start, I want to share an email I got from
one of the students of this series after a class where the topic was
“fear as a gateway to genius.”
**************
I
discovered something incredible last night...
I
arrived quite late to Life Skills because I had chosen in to being in my
genius and being available to support a couple friends. When I got to
class, I walked in the middle of them talking about "FEAR."
Spontaneously, Megan channeled a fear exercise. We were asked to face
into our worst fear... "What is the absolute worst that could happen...
and then, when that
happens, what could be the worst thing beyond that?" For a few minutes,
Megan took us through the fear gateways until the room was quiet and
people were deep in the feeling
of fear in their bodies.
I
discovered that I had an immensely difficult time conjuring up fears.
Megan offered, "So I just went bankrupt. Now what happens? So I just
lost the house and I'm homeless. Now what happens?"
Those are fears that I have been facing into every day. However, last
night, while basking in the glow of my genius, I realized that I felt
solid and whole. Yes, so I went
bankrupt. I can do this. What's next? I lost the house? Really? Well I
am still alive.
I
am getting that living in my genius will save my life because living a
life that is run by fear will surely kill me - either by illness or some
act of destruction which is attracted to my fear.
I
am getting that living in my genius will enliven my life because it
takes the charge out of the stories I create to stop myself.
And I finally understood that living in my genius is THE place to go to
really FEEL amazing!

With every thing going
in our country right now, it could be easy to slip into “choosing from
fear.” I propose that at this time in history it is vital that we
choose to live from our genius and not our fear. The old paradigms and
structures are wobbling. We have an opportunity at hand to reorient
ourselves to joy.
TRY THIS: Pick a
current fear that seems to be in the way of a choice for genius. Allow
yourself to breath into the fear and go full out in your expression. As
in the story above, take it all the way even to the point of absurd ...
"So l lost my house and had to live in a box" … etc. You might even do
a dance or jiggle while you tell the tale. Keep going until it is funny
or at least neutral. Now take one small action step towards genius.
It's this simple to stay on the path of genius … feel fear … choose
genius.
We'd love to hear about your experiences.
